Girls Trip to Ogunquit, Maine 2026

In mid-June 2026, a couple of my besties and I went camping in Ogunquit, Maine. It was a lovely girls' weekend filled with chatting, shopping, and enjoying the beautiful coastline. This will probably be a shorter blog post since I've already written in depth about both the town and the campground, Pinederosa, where we stayed last year.

On the way down, we stopped at the L.L. Bean outlet store in Concord, New Hampshire. I highly recommend stopping at any L.L. Bean outlet you come across because they always have great finds, including discounted misprinted Boat and Tote bags! There was one that said "Rocket Scientist," and it took almost all my willpower not to buy it, especially since I had already found a UW–Madison Boat and Tote bag last year at the outlet in Freeport, Maine.

From Concord, we continued to Ogunquit to set up camp. We ended up with a lovely campsite right next to the one I had last year, and since the campground wasn't very busy on Friday night, it was nice and peaceful. To kick off the weekend, we made walking tacos, arguably the best camping dinner, followed by s'mores around the campfire while we spent the evening catching up.

The next morning, we got up, made breakfast, and headed into town. Our first stop was, of course, coffee before taking a walk along the Marginal Way, the scenic coastal path that stretches from downtown to Perkins Cove. After our walk, we spent some time shopping before heading back to camp for lunch. We wrapped up the afternoon by relaxing at the campground pool.

For dinner, we ventured back into town, where I split my first-ever lobster roll. It was absolutely delicious! It was also pretty pricey, so it's probably not something I'll order every time, but I'm glad I finally tried one. After dinner, we wandered through a few more shops, grabbed some ice cream, and walked the Marginal Way back toward downtown. We stopped at the piano bar for a drink and listened to a few songs, but since it was packed, we decided to call it a night and head back to camp for more walking tacos.

On Sunday morning, we packed up camp, grabbed coffee from a cute local coffee truck (along with an amazing peach cobbler), and started the drive back home.

Overall, it was the perfect low-key girls' getaway filled with beautiful coastal views, plenty of laughs, great conversations, and quality time with two of my best friends. Sometimes those simple weekends are the ones you remember most.
